Projects in Education, a branch of the Fund for Education and Human Services, is a non-profit organization
formed to administer training, research and service programs for educational institutions in the Metropolitan
Washington D.C. area.
Howard University was chartered by the U.S. Congress in March 1867 and is accredited by the Midle States Commission on Higher Education(MSCHE). The School of Education is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and has five nationally recognized programs holding specialty accreditation from discipline-based (Specialized Professional Associations (SPAs).
